What to Wear!
Locations:
Urban: Downtown Orangeville, Erin, Georgetown, Bolton are some of my favorite Urban locations.
Country: I also love simple, serene locations like waterfalls, fields ,old barns and railroad tracks.
My Style
Definitely unique, journalistic, natural, and candid. Don’t be surprised to see dumpsters, fencing, signage or dark alleys in the background, but the subject is always my main focus. Fashion plays a large part in my image creation, along with posing, and backgrounds. I love extreme crops and negative space.
What to wear
Fashion is very important in a photograph. I recommend wearing layers and textures such as chunky sweaters, tweed blazers, ruffles, jean jackets, scarfes, hats, and generally things that don’t necessarily go together. Accessories can really make a photograph pop such as necklaces, crazy rubber boots, tights and dresses with jeans. I also suggest to every client to bring a bag full of clothing and I can help you choose what will look best in photographs.
Family sessions can be somewhat stressful but try picking a few colors and go with it. Stripes, patterns, layers all work in the same color tone. Stay away from white and khakis. Denim and cords work best and try not to be matchy, matchy and you’ll be amazed at how good you will all look in the images.
Again, feel free to bring a bag full of clothes and I can help you decide. Sometimes it just takes a fresh eye.
By the way, I love bare feet!
