He said he was uncomfortable being photographed. Well, it doesn’t show here that’s for sure at this Earl Bales engagement session. These two were so natural and that’s exactly what it takes for good journalistic style photographs. All it takes is having fun and interacting with each other for natural looking images every time. There needs to be a connection at all times. We headed to Earl Bales park for their engagement session with pooch Zeus in tow. This gorgeous large furry dog stole the show most of the time. Zeus is just a pup and was very well behaved during the session but that’s also because they came to the engagement session with help. His sister came along to take care of Zeus when he wasn’t in the photos and her sister came along to carry wardrobe changes and help with getting dresses. You gotta love sisters. We started walking in this park not really knowing where we were going and just took pictures along the way. We ended up needing a ride back to the parking lot since we were now at the bottom of the ski hill and needed to be at the top.
We stopped to take pictures on the trails with Zeus and let these two have some fun together. The we found great light in the woods and that warranted a wardrobe change. Then we did some walking photos with the dog and some without. We took family portraits of course because they need those with a new pup. Then we ended up a a lake that was totally unexpected and warranted another outfit change. The late day sun was coming out on this January day just in time for this stunning scene. Laurra had beautiful knit dresses to change into and that really added to her beauty in these images.
