It was rainy day at Hockley Valley Resort but that didn’t matter to this bride. She was in great spirits and ready to get married. Everything was happening at the Hockley Valley Resort so there was going to be no travelling today. The bride had a suite to get ready with her girls and the boys were all in another room. I started with the girls and photographed her stunning royal blue dress along with all her details. The girls wore champagne coloured dresses in different styles which was a nice accent to the brides gown. This group was heavily tattooed and the artwork was key factor to all the chosen dresses. I loved the colours and tried to accentuate them as much as possible. You could not miss this beautiful red headed bride in the stunning custom designed royal blue wedding dress.
After getting dressed, we immediately headed to the tent to get married. The groom and his groomsmen were seating guests and getting ready for the bride to arrive. Mom walked her daughter down the aisle in a stunning gold dress and flower girls lead the way throwing rose petals.
The ceremony was emotional and sweet and you could tell these two were ready to get the evening going. First, we headed out to the front entrance of the Hockley Valley Resort for family photos and bridal party photos just in time before it started to rain. The rain held off until all the formal photos were taken and then came down in bucket during bride and groom photos.
All the bride and groom photos except for 2 were taken under a large tent that covered picnic tables. I was able to get creative with the backgrounds and luckily had a tent to use so that none of us got wet. The bride and groom got plenty of images from their wedding day and managed to stay dry as well. On our way back to the Hockley Valley Resort we stopped a few times for portraits with the umbrellas before heading inside for cocktail hour and the reception in the Iada Ballroom.
