This Kleinburg, Doctor's House wedding chapel is so picturesque and lovely for photography, but only if you have the right equipment and experience. This is a dark space and very limited for moving around so creativity is a must in this chapel and equipment that can handle high ISO and low light.
We were 4 shooting in this space and it was very difficult to maneuver around 2 videographers, but I'm familiar with the space and was able to get the images I needed before anyone else got in our way.
Beautiful candle light, window light and overhead chandeliers will add mood to any wedding ceremony.
I capture photos while the bridal party walks in when they are in the daylight and then keep shooting while they move forward into the dark space for completely different mood and light.
I try to photograph the groom looking at his bride when she's walking down the aisle.
Ahhhh the first kiss.......you hope for a longish or a repeat kiss and this one did not disappoint.
Then we headed into the garden to quickly photograph the bridal party and family photos under the trees while it lightly rained.
I photograph the couple leaving the chapel together and whatever moments they decide to have together before directing them to the family portraits location.
I took photos of the couple coming out of the chapel together with the wedding party behind them and all the guests streaming out, but I knew I wanted to take another before we left without all the clutter and just the two of them with The Doctors House Chapel where they were married.
This location in the garden is big enough to photograph large wedding or family photos. The tree cover is ideal on rainy days or sunny days. You have two beautiful backgrounds at this location, the chapel and the coach house.
The girls in pink were all amazing even in the light rain. The tree cover proved to be an ideal location in the garden to get through all the photos before heading to main st. for photos with the bride and groom.
While the bridal party waited in the bus at the chapel we took the bride and groom for photos on main st for 30 minutes starting with this journalistic capture of them crossing the street.
A lot of beautiful scenes and options for urban style photos in Kleinburg. The quaint little town is bustling with tourists, but if you're creative you can definitely find some incredible and unique locations for wedding portraits like in the alley with a side view of this restaurant patio. The red awnings, red doors and red chairs were all complimentary to this brides look on her wedding day.
Moving on to the front of the historic General Store in Kleinburg for photos of the couple. Shooting from this angle allowed me to remove the reflected parked cars in the windows behind them. This Kleinburg historic store is used as a backdrop for weddings every weekend.
Here's one I took in 2014 before it was painted black. Can't wait to see what colour it will be next year.
On our way back to The Doctors House Chapel we went to the back of the building to photograph the couple with this flank of windows and bistro tables.
