Beautiful fall wedding day with bright, harsh sunlight for all the photos. Ceremony took place on the 9th hole at the family golf course in Owen Sound. Then we jumped in a golf cart and took bride and groom photos on the numerous Georgian Bay lookouts on the property.
The reception took place outside on the patio and with a dance party inside late evening.
- How did you meet?Our Dads played hockey together in the 1970s so the family roots dig back a long time. Mike and Christie crossed paths for the first time just before Y2K (probably through Owen sound sports) and reconnected in 2019 just in time to be locked down together throughout Covid and turn our long term friendship in a new direction.
- What do you remember most about your first date?Mike thought Christie was ordering 2lbs of wings and Christie thought she was ordering for both. Mike then ordered his own two pounds and claims to be taking some home to Don and Lisa. So we ordered 4lbs of wings. Mike may remember refusing to split the bill when Christie offered – without taking her wine intake during the “meal”
- When did you know he was the one?Almost immediately!
- How did you feel the moment he proposed? Were you surprised by his planning?I was elated! Floating! Definitely surprised 🙂
- What do you like to do as a couple?We love hanging out at home with our dog, playing golf, eating chicken wings, pizza and beer and spending time with family.

- What is it about my photos that speaks to you?The journalistic approach and attention to detail in editing. Extremely unique and artistic approach to photography!
- What is the one thing that attracted you most about your partner?His kind and caring nature. And his sense of humour!

- How did you feel about the engagement session after it was all over?We had so much fun! We were sweating and laughing – overall so enjoyable! Even if we were a bit awkward Frances guided us!
