What is it about my photos that speaks to you?Your innate ability to capture a natural elegant photo in any space that still demonstrates the love that people have for each other.
How did you meet?We met in high school in Newmarket, ON where I was living and Jake was attending school in the area. One day I went to go do homework with a friend and Jake walked in with some friends and we have talked everyday since then.
What do you remember most about your first date?in high-school, we were (and still are) best friends and spent everyday together, so it is very hard to pinpoint when we had our first date. The one memory I have of us together before we officially started dating was when we flew to his house and drove me around his small town. It was snowing outside and I remember looking over at him while he was driving and had a feeling of pure joy and happiness. it was so perfect that i felt like I was in a movie.
When did you know he was the one?There is no person in the world who brings more joy into my life than Jake. Ever since we met there was always a special bond between us that I knew was never going to break. He always manages to make me smile and there is no one that I would rather spend my life with.
How did you feel the moment he proposed? Were you surprised by his planning?when I turned around and saw Jake down on one knee, surrounded by the beautiful fall colours at our favourite hunting spot I was immediately in shock. Tears of joy started rolling down my face and I was at such a loss for words I had attempted to say “yes” multiple times before actually getting the words out. Knowing how hard he had worked to put all of this together and keep such a big secret amazed me. Since we tell each-other everything I could only imagine how hard keeping this from me was and I am so proud that it all worked out. He planned the perfect place, the perfect time and we were alone in a place that always makes us happy. Definitely a moment we will never forget.
What do you like to do as a couple?We love hunting and just enjoying the outdoors together, whether it be going for long drives or taking our dog Izzy to the park.
