BE AWARE
As a wedding photographer with decades of experience shooting weddings and events, the wedding is delayed on the day of 90% of the time because hair and makeup are still there when photo/video arrives.
We create wedding day timelines for every couple in order to make sure you get all the photos you want and deserve. It takes time to find the right light and elicit the right moments in order to deliver the getting ready images you see in our portfolios.
- Be aware that if your beauty team arrives late ..... you will be late.
- If you add on people last minute ..... you will be delayed.
- If you have more than 4 people needing hair and/or makeup you'll need more than 2 beauty consultants.
"I just need a couple of photos of my getting ready".
We can appreciate that you don't want all the hair and makeup photos or the photos of all your details. So, we show up 1 - 1.5 hours before you're ready to leave to capture photos with the group of people there with you while you get ready...... the champagne toasts, the robe photos, father first looks, mother daughter moments and your bridal portraits.
Why does this take an hour? ...... because unfortunately, I don't always have your undivided attention and that's ok. You're meant to enjoy your day with the people around you and i'm there to document it.
Sooooo...... we'll wait outside until hair and makeup is done and gone before we start taking your photos.
HAIR
30 - 45 min. per person minimum
60 - 90 min. bride
MAKEUP
30 -45 min. per person minimum
60 - 90 min. bride
BRIDE
2 -3 hours needed with 1 dedicated beauty consultant.
add a bridesmaid ........ add 1 hour
add mom ...... add another hour
Photography and or videography will not begin until hair and makeup is done and gone.
Yes, we could start photos while your beauty team is still there, but you won't like the photos. They will be messy and include people you don't want in your pictures.
In order for us to deliver the getting ready photos you want and deserve the room needs to be clean and clutter free.
Only the people being photographed are there with you.
Are you ALL staying in a hotel? Do hair and makeup in your parents or siblings room.....then get dressed in your room or the bridal suite.
Keep the room with the best window light for getting ready and do hair and makeup somewhere else.
Believe me when I say....... nothing will stress you more than if you have to rush or organize people at the beginning or your day in order to get out the door on time.
